Q: How do you pronounce it?
A: Hole-win-stall
Q: Where exactly is Holwenstall?
A: Somewhere in the United States
Q: What is the Brookhurst?
A: The Brookhurst is a commune where most of the characters live. It was established by Louise and Joy as a place for teenage runaways and touring bands to crash at. Louise inherited the dilapidated house and Cutter helped her restore it. Actual known residents are Louise, Joy, Rat, Blair, Frankie, Fay and Pox. Ziggy and Darla have their own place.
Cutter lives in the Holwenstall Hills, Vince’s home is unknown and Arsenic lives with one of his cousins.
Q: Why doesn’t Cutter like being referred to by his first name?
A: Patience. All will be revealed soon. Louise is the only one that can call him by his first name. They’ve had a flirtatious friendship since their youth.
Q: Who is Ares? What’s Petropolis?
A: Petropolis is a county northern of Holwenstall. Ares is part of an elitist group of Mods called the Petropolis Porcocetts that are thinking of setting up a chapter in Holwenstall. Ares doesn’t appear until the second episode even though Vince points him out in the pilot episode as one of the bandits escaping Mr. Borisch on the scooter. |

Q: So who was riding on the getaway scooter that the crazy old man was chasing after?
A: That was traditional skinhead and scooter gang head-honcho Jake Weavers (Jason Lawless) and kleptomaniac Sammy Fingers (Brandon Greene) of the Petropolis Percocetts. The crazy immigrant drugstore owner is named Mr. Borisch (Edward Joyce).
Q: What were Jake Weavers and Sammy Fingers doing then?
A: Weavers was showing Fingers the ropes. They were stealing pills/uppers from the drug store.
Q: What does Rat pour into Vince’s cup?
A: Beer that he’s illegally brewing in the Brookhurst basement.
Q: What is Rat doing in the basement before he runs into Blair?
A: He’s pouring out another sample of his illegal brew, hoping to acquire a black market distributor. The phone call he takes is from another possible purchaser who turns out to be an undercover cop.
Q: So Rat is arrested by this undercover cop? And it takes place off-screen?
A: Yes. The pilot ends with Joy finding out Rat has been arrested. The actual arrest may or may not be depicted later. Otherwise, use your imagination.
